With a recent release of the an art book it looks like there is a grasp of The Legend of Zelda timeline.
Late last night EMP Triforce put out a video where he describes his personal theory about how the Zelda timeline works.
This morning, Kotaku posted one guy’s theory, which says the main timeline splits into three three realities: the one that involves the Twilight Princess story, on involving Wind Waker, and the third one that involves the the NES titles.
Shortly after that Kotau article is posted, EMP Triforce respond with another video, disagreeing with the theorized the way split of the timeline (below).
All this is so confusing…

The idea of there being three timelines seems mind-boggling. I’ll wait until I’ve actually beaten all the games in the series before commenting though.
