Why I Play Fantasy Strike

Fantasy Strike is the hot new fighting game that is very easy to pick up and has a following that increases everyday. While any new player will find appeal with the “fresh faces” in the new title, my history with those same character comes years before Fantasy Strike became a video game.

For those that don’t know, I immersed myself in the Fantasy Strike world by playing the fighting card game Yomi. I have placed high in a few Yomi tournaments and even won a few of them. The “mains,” or the fighters I use primarily for competition are Grave, Jaina, Midori, and Menelker (not in the video game right now), but my favorite would be Valerie Rose because I think her character ability is the most appealing of the game and makes for the most creative combos out of the entire cast.

Now fast-forward into current day. The Yomi characters finally became video game characters via Fantasy Strike. The Characters I grew fond of in Yomi are the fighters I move towards to. Plus, the game’s controls are simple you you can focus on strategy rather than execution.

I am glad I can now play Fantasy Strike and I am looking to all the memories this game brings.
